Creating a Growth Plan

With these instructions you're able to create a growth plan, either manually or with the help of AI.

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Creating a Growth Plan manually

  1. Head to your profile

Choose Development → + New growth plan → Create manually

2. Overview - Enter the basic details

- Choose time period

  • Note that you should create separate goals in the Goals tab (step 3). For example, you can have a growth plan for one year with one goal for each quarter. Or you could make a separate plan for each quarter with multiple goals depending on your needs.

- Enter Name + Description

- “Make growth plan private” toggle

  • If you do not turn this on, your growth plan is visible for everyone in the company. This can be useful to change ideas and spar between colleagues, but if you prefer keeping your growth plan private toggle this on (visibility: you, your supervisor, primary team lead, BU lead, and users with HR Admin or Admin roles).

- Choose Coaches and mentors (optional)

- Target impact

  • Use this if you have specific certificates and skills you wish to pursue. Note: only Admin users are able to add more certificates and skills if the list is missing any.

  • Add skills one by one and choose how many stars you wish to increase your rating. For example, if you now have a skill with 3 stars and you wish to increase that to 4 stars, choose 1 star here for that skill.

- Related strategies

  • Optional - If the Strategy space is used in your organization, you can link your growth plan to existing strategies.

3. After you're done with Overview, head to the next tab: Goals

A growth plan needs to have at least one goal, but we suggest adding between 3–5.

These are the concrete goals that will help you to achieve the big picture plan so take time to draft these. Due dates are optional, but recommended.

When you’re done - Click Create. Now you're done with the creation!

4. Keeping up with your Growth Plan

Later when you’re making progress, keep up with that in Agileday.

By clicking “Set progress” on the Goals tab, you’re able to keep track with your Goals and mark them as done.

When the whole Growth Plan is complete, click “Mark as completed” from the Overview page.

Creating a Growth Plan with the help of AI

When creating a growth plan with the help of AI, you can prompt what type of growth plan you would like. When you're done, click Create and you're all done. You're always able to edit the growth plan after you've created it.
